About

From 2020 to 2022 CCPN created a program to fund the cost of child care for families living and receiving child care in Delaware County. CCPN would like to continue providing support for the families and ECE programs of Delaware County, but we need your help! Letting legislators know the impact that additional assistance can have may help them decide to prioritize more funding for families with children.

How You Can Help

Child care programs, child care staff, or parents who submit a letter to Delaware County Council members in support of allocating money for child care will receive a Visa gift card through the Leadership in Action program. The gift card mailing may take approximately 6-8 weeks to arrive and is sent by USPS mail from PennAEYC. Read below about how you can receive the gift card for participating.

Parents/staff at child care programs can receive $30. Owners/directors of child care programs who also get 6 others to write a letter can receive $100. See full details below.

If you're an ECE program owner/director:

Write an email letter on behalf of your ECE program to the Delaware County Council in support of using more money for child care programs, such as for our previous COVID Support program. It could include how using ARPA money would not only support the families you serve, but also help the program itself continue providing high quality care for the community.
Send the email to the five Delaware County Council members (their emails are below) and BCC ccpnpa.org@gmail.com on the same email. We'll reply asking for your mailing info.
Encourage staff and parents to write letters too. Once 6 of your parents/staff also send their own letters to the Council, we will then send you a $100 gift card!

If you're a parent or early educator:

Write an email letter to the Delaware County Council in support of using more money for child care programs, such as for our previous COVID Support program. It could include how using ARPA money for the COVID Support program would help you in sending your child to high quality child care.
Send the email to the five Delaware County Council members (their emails are below) and BCC ccpnpa.org@gmail.com on the same email.
CCPN will reply to your email asking for your mailing info. Once you reply with the info we will mail your $30 gift card!

Conditions for Receiving Gift Card

These gift cards are generously provided by a grant. It's important that all instructions are followed so we can ensure funding is allocated appropriately.

If you're an ECE program owner/director:

All letters must be sent by February 29th, 2024.
The physical address of your child care program must be in Delaware County, PA.
Only one $100 gift card can be mailed per physical address of the child care program. Companies with multiple sites at different physical addresses can participate for each site, but only once per site.
You must send a letter on behalf of the child care program you own/operate.
You must send the letter to all 5 Delaware County Council members, as well as BCC ccpnpa.org@gmail.com on the same email so we can verify it was sent. The Council email addresses are below.
After you send your letter, we will send an email asking for your info in order to send the gift card. You must submit the required info. Click here to see what info we'll ask.
6 of your parents/staff must also send letters. Once there are 6 letters from your parents/staff, we'll automatically mail your card. Any additional parent/staff letters above 6 per site will not get you any more than one gift card.
Gift cards will be mailed to the address exactly as you provide it to us. If the mailing is not deliverable, it may not be resent.
